Here you can see the soybeans coming out of the arm and spitting into the wagon. After the wagon is full we take the wagon with the pick-up truck and drive it to the Farm Cooperative.

Charlie, our nephew, enjoys helping out. He's checking to see how full the wagon is. It's full enough for the drive to the farm cooperative where it will be weighed and the soybeans dumped into a bin.

You can see how narrow this path is. One of our fields is at the end of this lane. How do you think we get down there with the combine? The answer is: We take off the big head with the teeth, and put on a smaller head. Some heads can be carried the long way, not the wide way. That makes being on the road easier for traffic.

This is a view of some land near the end of that lane you see above. There's a lot of natural beauty around us. We get to enjoy it when we walk outdoors! The government pays some farmers not to plant their fields. What do you think that does?
